YOUTH CLUB: Havercroft & Ryhill Youth Club is now open again! Mondays and Fridays, 4 – 5.30pm are for the 8 - 12 year olds, whilst Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 6 - 8pm are for the 13 - 19 year olds. Entrance fee is 50p.

ST JAMES CHURCH: Coffee and Cakes are on sale every Friday from 10am in the St James Centre, with tasty home baking and a warm welcome to all.

POPPIES: Locations for the sale of red poppies in aid of the Royal British Legion are needed in Ryhill and Havercroft, please telephone Sue Kent on 07966 071432 if you are able to display collections.

CHARITY WALK: Volunteers from Ryhill and Havercroft are needed for a charity walk, setting off from South Elmsall bus station on Saturday October 29, the walk is in aid of Army of Angels, further details are available from Mr Kashif on 07977803428.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH: Children’s Church begins again on Tuesday September 20 at St Paul’s Church, The Balk, Walton. All children of Primary School age are welcome, along with Parents, Grandparents or Childminders, to take part in this creative and enjoyable monthly service with refreshments, from 3.45 - 5pm. Sessions are £1 per child and 50p per adult.

WALTON METHODIST CHURCH: The preacher on Sunday at 10.30am is Richard Mills. On Tuesday, Open Door Coffee Morning is from 10-11.30am, and on Wednesday Craft Class is from 9.30am -noon.

WDH WALK: Wakefield District Housing are to organise a Resident’s Walk on September 23, from 10am starting outside numbers 1 & 2 at Brooklands. The group will be walking around both Brooklands and the Grove to address any concerns residents may hold, all welcome with questions or queries.
