WINTER FAIR: A winter fair will be held at the St James’ Centre, Ryhill, on Saturday November 19. There will be food, stalls, a tombola and a prize draw. From 11am to 2pm.

RYHILL ART SOCIETY: The guest artist at the Society’s last meeting was Joanne Jenkins, who demonstrated an acrylic decorative scene of patterns in nature taken from photographs, using different techniques. Irvin Penfold will present a demonstration in pastels on Wednesday, November 16, from 7pm at St Pauls Church, Ryhill. New members are welcome, admission is £3 including refreshments.

MULBERRY CLUB: A fun activity based club for youngsters with disabilities, held in the sports hall at Havercroft and Ryhill Sports and Youth Centre. The next meeting will be on Monday, November 14, the session for seven to 11-year-olds is from 6pm to 7pm, while the 12 to 20-year-olds meet from 7pm to 8pm, cost is £1.50.

REMEMBRANCE: The Walton service of Remembrance will be on Sunday, November 13, meeting at the war memorial on Shay Lane at 10.30am. There will be a laying of the wreaths, followed by a service at St Paul’s Church on the Balk, led by Rev Rupert Martin.

WALTON METHODIST CHURCH: There will be no service at Walton this Sunday. On Monday the after tea dance group meets from 6.30pm to 9pm for an informal evening of mixed dance, refreshments will be served during the evening. On Tuesday open door is from 10am to 11.30am and on Wednesday craft class is from 9.30am to noon

CHRISTMAS FAIR: Walton Methodist Church is holding its Christmas fair on Saturday, November 19 from 10am to 1pm. There will be lots of stalls, children’s games and bacon butties. Admission is £1 including refreshments.
