WRENS: Wrenthorpe Environmental Society will be holding a litter pick in Wrenthorpe Park and Meadows on Saturday 12 November. All are welcome to help, even for a short time. Please wear stout shoes or boots and bring a pair of gardening gloves, or similar. Bags will be provided. Please meet near the car park at the entrance to the park for a 10:00 start for a couple of hours.
WRENTHORPE METHODIST CHURCH: On Sunday at 10am. Barry Firth is preaching and everyone is welcome.
WRENTHORPE MISSION: On Friday 4th November we have our Annual Bonfire and Firework Display. “Lighting-up” time will be at 6.00 p.m. and there will be a free supper of pie and peas “with extras”! All are invited.Our Morning Celebration will be held Sunday at 10.30am with Peter Clothier, our Healing Service is at 6.30pm. Everyone will be made very welcome.
ST ANNES: On Sunday the Parish Eucharist is at 10am and the baptism of Wilfred James Dilley will take place during the service. On Wednesday Holy Communion is at 9.15am followed by refreshments with the church remaining open until noon.
TABLE TOP SALE: On Saturday November 5 there is a coffee and bacon butty morning with a table top sale, in Wrenthorpe Methodist Church Hall, 10am-12pm. Please ring 01924 370302.

MORNING: The next community coffee morning at Wrenthorpe Methodist Hall will be Saturday, November 12, not November 5, as stated last week.
PARTNERSHIP: Area forums confirmed dates and venues Wakefield Central Thursday November 10, at St Swithen’s Centre, Eastmoor from 6.30pm–8.30pm.
AREA FORUM: The Area Forum date for Wrenthorpe area is Tuesday November 8, Kingswood Suite Wakefield Town Hall from 6:30pm–8:30pm.
JUBILEE DAY: The Community Association is considering holding a celebration event at the village hall and surrounding area, perhaps extending to the recreation ground, to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee next year. Still at the planning stage but the weekend of celebrations throughout the country is from Saturday 2nd June to Tuesday 5th June. We would like to invite all the various groups in Wrenthorpe to get together and join in the fun with a stall or game. Perhaps groups could give a demonstration of what you do to add to the excitement. All ideas welcome. Please let us know, as soon as possible. WRENTHORPE PARK: There is a man who has been exposing himself at Wrenthorpe Park. He has now gone a step further and exposed himself to three children at the playground next to the car park there. Parents need to be vigilant and perhaps not allow their children to go to the playground unaccompanied.
