ST ANNE’S: The annual nativity all-age service will be held on Sunday morning at 10am. Light refreshments will be served after the service. On Wednesday communion is at 9.15am followed by refreshments, with the church remaining open until noon.

WRENTHORPE METHODIST CHURCH:  On Sunday at 10am Sunday school children will be taking part in a nativity service and Rev Andrew Stead will be preaching, folled by a candlelit carol service at 6pm, led by Mick Lunn and followed by coffee and mince pies.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT: The King’s Church, Wakefield, holds a Christmas Celebration, on Sunday, December 18, 6.30pm, at Silcoates School, Wrenthorpe.  The Christmas story told through carols, drama and poetry. Seasonal refreshments will be served.

CAROL SINGING: Carol singers will raise money for Candlelighters with a special service on Monday, December 19 in memory of Taylor Sheldrake, a very brave and courageous local young girl who had leukaemia and unfortunately died in July. Candlelighters, helped Taylor and her parents through her illness. This charity helps young children and their families to cope with cancer. The singers meet at 5.50pm at the corner of The Mount and Silcoates Lane, and will work their way around Wrenthorpe.
