It is the show which divides the nation and is famous for churning out more short lived “celebrities” than any other.
And the next stars of Big Brother could be from Wakefield.
Scouts for the Channel 5 show are heading to The Hop and Fanny and Bicardi Bar in the city centre on Saturday night looking for new contestants.
Felicity Rankin, assistant producer, said: “The team are really excited to be heading to Wakefield for the weekend and want to spread the word as much as possible of how to get involved.
“Everyone is welcome to apply for the programme and we look forward to meeting them.”
In 2007 Chanelle Hayes from Middlestown became famous when she appeared on the eighth series of the show aged 19.
The self-styled Posh Spice wannabe managed to stay in the house until day 62
Miss Hayes has since returned to her home city where she runs her own baking business, Love Cake Love Me.
The 15th series of the show will be broadcast in the summer.
