Arsonists started two fires during the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters were called to Welbeck Household Waste Recycling Centre, on Boundary Road, Normanton, shortly before 1am, after some rubbish had been set on fire.
And the same crew were called to another rubbish fire at 4am, which had been started beside the Kibble Club, in New Sharlston.
Both incidents are believed to have been started deliberately, but are not being linked.
A spokesman for the fire service said both sites were “regularly targeted by youths”.
Anyone with any information should contact police on 101.
