Cyclist rushed to hospital following crash with car on A650

A black Vauxhall Corsa collided with the cyclist on the A650 in Wakefield at around 4pm today (Monday).

The cyclist was taken to hospital with suspected head injuries.

The A650 from Tingley Bar roundabout to the M62 junction has been closed.

Police warn traffic is slow in both directions between the A6029 Rein Road junction and the Capitol Boulevard junction.

Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
