E-fit released after attempted robbery in Eastmoor

A man hit a woman as he tried to steal her bike.

The 33-year-old victim was riding her bicycle along Park Lodge Lane, Eastmoor, when the man pushed her from behind casuing her to stop.

Her attacker then tried to take the bike.
But she refused, fought him off and she was hit in the face during the struggle.

She then managed to ride away from the scene.

The incident took place at about 6pm on Tuesday, August 19.

And today detectives have released this e-fit of the attacker.

He was 6ft tall, slim and aged in his 20s. He spoke with an Eastern European accent, had short light brown hair and was wearing a white and grey striped T-shirt.

Det Cons Mark Hargreaves of Wakefield CID, said: “We are investigating this incident and would like to speak to anyone who recognises the man pictured in the e-fit. Anyone who has any information is asked to contact myself at Wakefield CID on 101.
