Man attacked outside Snooty Fox pub in Wakefield

A man had his nose broken when he was attacked outside a pub.

The 42-year-old victim was taken to hospital suffering serious facial injuries after the assault outside the Snooty Fox, on Brunswick Street.

The victim had been drinking in the pub when he was approached by his attacker.

They went outside and the victim was knocked to the ground and assaulted.

The suspect was Asian, in his 30s, stocky and had short dark hair.

Insp Richard Close, of the Central neighbourhood police team, said: “This was a violent assault which left the victim with some serious facial injuries and could have had even worse consequences.

“Detailed investigations have been ongoing for some time now and we are appealing for information from anyone who knows the identity of the suspect.

“There was a confrontation in the pub before the assault took place and someone will know who this man is.”

The attack happened at around 7.55pm on July 20.
