Police appeal for information after man assaulted in Leeds.

A man is in a critical condition after being attacked near a nightclub.

The 23-year-old, from Wakefield, was assaulted by two men on Heaton’s Court, near Club Mission nightclub in Leeds.

The man suffered head injuries and is in a critical condition at Leeds General Infirmary.

West Yorkshire Police has released CCTV images of two men they want to speak in connection with the incident.

The assault happened at around 3.30am on Sunday, March 1.

The men were also involved in an incident involving another person in the same area just minutes before.

Det Ch Insp Steve Snow, from the homicide and major enquiry team, said: “This happened at a busy time of the night when there were lots of people around enjoying a night out.

“The seriousness of the incident may not have been immediately apparent at the time. I would appeal directly to anyone who witnessed this to get in contact.

“We believe they may have been in Leeds with a group of men from the West Midlands area who were inside Club Mission. The two tried to get into the club but were declined entry.

“One of the men we want to speak to has a distinctive ‘undercut’ hair style which is completely shaved all the way around the level of the ear and then pointed at the front.”

Call police on 101.
