Police were called to reports of a man with a gun in Castleford last night.

West Yorkshire Police said they had been called at 6.23pm to a report of a man with what looked like a handgun on Fryston Road, Airedale.

A spokesperson for the force said: "No one was injured and no offences were committed.

"It was established it was a hoax call."
