Police search Wakefield for missing man Ian Hickin

Police are searching for a man who has gone missing from Pindefields Hospital.

Ian Hickin, 40, was addmitted to the hopsital on January 22.

He was last seen near gate 12 at about 7.30pm the next day.

Officers are investigating a potential reported sighting of Mr Hickin from late January but are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare, as he has a medical condition.

Searches are ongoing in the city today.

Mr Hickin is silm and 5ft 5ins ins tall.

He was last seen wearing a grey shirt with small checks and a white v neck T-shirt.

He was also wearing black shoes or boots with a black jacket.

Detective Inspector Claire Doyles of Wakefield District Safeguarding Unit, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Ian who has not been in good health and we are conducting a number of searches to find him.

“We know Ian visits public houses in the city centre and would ask residents to keep an eye out for him and contact us if they have any information.

“His appearance may also have changed as the photo attached, which while being the most recent available, is several years old.”
