Postboxes have been stolen from around Wakefield.
Royal Mail has reported that five were stolen in September and October.
Two were taken from Manygates Lane in Sandal and Seckar Lane in Woolley on October 29.
In Lofthouse one was stolen from Green Lane overnight on September 21.
On September 19 one was stolen from Leeds Road on September 19.
And another was stolen from Kendal Rise in Crofton overnight on September 14.
A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “We can confirm that a number of postboxes in the West Yorkshire area were stolen recently.
“We have some 115,000 post boxes around the country and thankfully thefts like these are relatively rare. We urge anyone with any information to contact the police apologise to any customers who have been inconvenienced by these thefts.”
They also confirmed that postboxes had been stolen from Knottingley, Featherstone and Hemsworth.
Until they are replaced, customers are advised to use other postboxes in the area or drop their mail off at a Post Office.
