Teenage driver arrested after woman killed in Crofton

A woman was killed when she was hit by a car in Crofton.

The incident happened when the 40-year-old woman was walking Santingley Lane at 5pm on Sunday.

A spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Police said: “A female pedestrian was in collision with a vehicle. An ambulance attended but the woman died.”

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving.
