Detectives investigating the murder of Sidney Cox in Leeds last year have made two further arrests.
Two men, aged 30 and 37, were arrested at a travellers site in Race Lane, Carlton, Selby, at about 5pm yesterday on suspicion of murder. They are currently in custody in West Yorkshire.
Mr Cox, 57, died the day after being violently attacked at a house on Middleton Lane, Thorpe, on August 24.
The latest arrests come after two men and a teenager appeared at Leeds Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with the murder.
Robert Gaskin, 36, Sam Riley, 34, and a 16-year-old boy, are all from the Doncaster area.
A 37-year-old woman arrested in connection with the murder has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Detectives have already charged three other men with the murder of Mr Cox, and another man with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.
Mr Cox was originally from Castleford and had lived in Morley.
