Woman robbed in lunchtime attack

A pair of robbers ripped a woman’s chain from around her neck during a lunchtime attack.

The 55-year-old victim was waiting to cross Marsh Way, near the bus station, when the men approached her.

They grabbed her necklace, knocked her to the ground and tried to steal her handbag before running off.

The stolen necklace was described as a gold, chunky design.

The robbery took place between 12.15pm and 12.20pm on Tuesday.
