Hundreds of residents flocked to see a parade of creative floats that sailed through Knottingley as part of the town’s annual carnival.

The procession wheeled its way from Doncaster Road in Ferrybridge through the streets to Knottingley. Those without a float dressed in a variety of weird and wacky outfits to join the procession.

The parade ended at Knottingley Sports Centre, where visitors enjoyed a family fun day with stalls, a bouncy castle, donkey rides and a funfair.

There was also a gun dog display team, a fancy dress competition, classic cars and craft stalls. The event was organised by the Knottingley and Ferrybridge Carnival Committee.
