POORLY children at Pinderfields hospital have received a donation of more than 300 Easter eggs.

Staff from the Wakefield branch of Reed Recruitment visited the children’s ward this week with eggs donated by their clients from across the city.

Dee Stead, from Reed, said: “We just want to give something back to the community and it’s just lovely to do something for the children.”

And Easter fun is also going on with a treasure hunt at Blacker Hall Farm, Calder Grove, daily until April 25.

This weekend children can enjoy a free bunny hunt at Carr Gate Garden Centre on old Bradford Road from Good Friday to Easter Monday.

Trinity Walk is also hosting an Easter egg hunt today, tomorrow and Easter Sunday between 11am and 3pm, with face painting and a miniature farm.

For outdoor games, more Easter egg hunts, face painting and a chocolate extravanganza visit Nostell Priory between 11am and 4pm tomorrow.

Nostell Priory is also hosting a craft fair today at the newly restored riding school between 11am and 4pm.
