An exhibition celebrating 50 years of Doctor Who will open tonight (Wednesday) to co-incide with the city’s Artwalk event.

There is an exhibition at Westgate Studios, with a fully-functioning TARDIS and a bar featuring beer made exclusively for the event by Paul Spencer, of Ossett Brewery.

It has been curated by studio holder Bob Milner, and will open on Wednesday.

Mr Milner, who has been a lifelong fan of the show, said: “Having access to the project space at this time, it seemed obvious to celebrate through art a wonderful cultural icon.

“Everyone has been so supportive and generous in helping to put the exhibition together.”

An art and design fair will also take place at the Art House, on Drury Lane, tonight from 5pm until 9pm, featuring art rojects ranging from jewellery and ceramics, to stained glass and photography.

The Doctor Who exhibition will run until Sunday, December 15.

Viewing is by appointment between 5pm and 9pm.
