AN ENDANGERED bird of prey which was snatched from its perch has been returned to its owner.
The four-month-old Goshawk was found by a man in South Kirkby when he was flying his own bird.
It has now been returned to its owner Kevin Addison, 24, of Broadway, Lupset.
He feared the bird, which he had bred himself, had been stolen to order because of its high value, which was estimated to be in the region of £1,000.
PCSO Jonathon Plummer, of Central NPT, said: “We had a really good response to the appeal.
“I would like to thank the public for their co-operation.”
The bird, which was described as “quite vicious” was stolen from its enclosure on Monday, October 3.
