HALLOWEEN fun for kids is taking place across the city this weekend with pumpkin carving and ‘ghoul-ash’ tasting.
Children are invited to a Halloween fun day at Wakefield market where they will taste ‘ghoul-ash’ after a cooking demonstration, games, and a monster hunt.
Halloween safety advice will also be provided and there will be a fancy dress competition for children under 11 and the best costume will get an award.
If kids haven’t had enough Halloween fun after the fun day that runs today from 10am to 2pm, they can dress up again for free pumpkin carvings lessons tomorrow and Sunday.
Children are invited to bring along a pumpkin and carve their own horrible Halloween head at Waterton Countryside Discovery Centre tomorrow and Newmillerdam Boathouse on Sunday.
Children under five will need adult supervision for the carving and booking is required by calling Wakefield 303980 or e-mailing countrysideinterp@wake field.gov.uk
