A HARD-HITTING acting showcase about drugs, teenage pregnancy and manipulation will raise money for cancer research.
Budding television stars have taken part in workshops led by Emmerdale star Andy Devine, who played Shadrach Dingle, since last September.
They have worked on scenes about issues affecting young people for next Friday’s event at Kirkhamgate Village Hall.
The group will pledge all proceeds to Cancer Research UK on behalf of family and friends who have the disease.
Toni Holland, of Bennetton Casting and Modelling Promotions which is hosting the event, said: “These scenes show some of the consequences young people often face when they are manipulated.”
The event starts at 8pm. For tickets, at £3, visit the Raines Business Centre, on Ings Road, or call 01924 882414.
