People with long term health conditions have had their daily lives made easier thanks to an education scheme launched by district health bosses.
And patients are learning more about their conditions and gaining skills to improve their health as part of the Wakefield Expert Health Programme.
The programme, set up by South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, included six-courses run by health service volunteers in community venues around the district.
People who took part also featured in a serious of short films in which they tell how the programme improved their health.
Chris Sivorn, of Pontefract, who developed a string of health conditions following a pit accident and also has aspergers, tells how the programme changed his life.
