TREASURE: Pride in Horbury Bridge have organised a Treasure Hunt tomorrow, meeting at the Bingley Arms at 4pm, the walk will be around Horbury Bridge picking up and solving clues on the way. It is free and there will be food at the Bingley Arms afterwards. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult.

ART: St Mary’s Church in Horbury Junction will be host to an Art Retrospective featuring 75 years of work by Mary Maynard tomorrow from 10am till 4pm. There are almost 100 items of works on display including paintings, drawings and embroidery. Many of the items are available for sale and proceeds will go to charities including Macmillan Nurses, British Heart Foundation and The Children’s Society. Catalogues will cost £1 and will include refreshments in the adjacent parish centre where the artist herself will be on hand to greet visitors and discuss aspects of the work.

KIDZ: Kidz Aware are a registered charity based in Lupset and support carers of children with special needs across the whole of West Yorkshire. They are holding a table top sale on Sunday, August 14 at Jubilee Hall Community Centre, Townley Road, Lupset from 10am to 3pm and everyone is welcome.

FETE: You are invited to a Summer Fete at Elm Lodge Care Home, Cluntergate on Sunday, August 21 from 1pm to 4pm. Everyone is welcome including families as there will be many stalls to suit children, plus face painting and bouncy castle. Entry is free, and there will also be live music from 3’s Company plus Three
