RUNNERS took to the city streets to raise money for Wakefield Hospice.
More than 1,250 people took part in the annual 10k race from Clarence Park to Horbury and back again on Sunday.
And families and young children also took part in a shorter Fun Run around the park.
The first 10k runner to cross the finish line was Holmfirth Harriers runner Matthew Pierson with a time of 31 minutes, 23 seconds.
And reigning champion Helen Singleton, of Wakefield Harriers, was the first woman back in a time of 36 minutes, 25 seconds.
Organisers hope the event will raise more than £30,000 for the Aberford Road hospice.
