HUNDREDS of visitors packed into Ossett town centre for live music and energetic dance displays at the 23rd annual gala.
Wakefield Orchestral Wind and The Silver Leaf Jazz Band performed on the precinct as part of celebrations on Saturday.
The David Harrison Line Dancers, Dance Fusion, Community Fit and Mueve Latin and Urban Dance were able to perform as the rain stayed off.
Youngsters from Shogun Martial Arts also showed their moves, and the EDK Youth Theatre Company performed to close the event at about 4pm.
Money was raised for local charities and community groups which hosted stalls on the precinct throughout the day.
Olympic torchbearer Gayna Goalby, who carried the torch through Wakefield last month, brought it to the event.
And Coun Tony Richardson said it was a fantastic day.
He said: “This was another great success for Ossett this year, and had a slightly different nuance to other events here recently. There were stalls as far as the eye could see and the town centre was packed. Everyone seemed to have a great time.”
Ossett Tyre House has been the main sponsors of the event for nine years running.
