An inquest has been opened into the death of an 11-year-old East Ardsley boy who died following an accident at a Rothwell farm.

Harry Whitlam died on August 9 in LGI after he was hit by a tractor at Swithens Farm on Swithens Lane, Rothwell.

He was taken by air ambulance to LGI where he later died following surgery.

The tractor driver a, 48-year-old local man, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and causing death by dangerous driving.

He has been bailed pending continuing enquiries.

The inquest was adjourned pending reports
