Six kittens that were left for dead in a cemetery are being looked after by staff at a vets practise.

They were found abandoned in a bag on Monday at Sugar Lane Cemetery in Belle Vue and handed in to Castleview Vets.

Three of the white kittens are boys, two are girls and the tortoise shelled moggie is also a girl.

Veterinary nurse Rizwana Masothi said: “They were brought in Monday morning by a lady who found them. We think they are about four to five weeks old and although they seen quite healthy they are not old enough to be away from their mother.”

To help re-home the kittens call Castleview on 01924 374111.
