Letter - A quest in Normanton

I AM conducting research into the history of the Kinsey family who in the 19th and 20th centuries lived in Benson’s Lane in Normanton.

I have discovered the grave of my great-grandfather, Louis Kinsey, who was crushed by a fall of coal at the Haighs Moor Pit and died in 1903. He is buried with my great-grandmother Mary Jane Kinsey (nee Benson) in the graveyard at All Saints’ Church, Normanton.

I also found the grave of my great-uncle Enos and his wife Sarah Jane who died about the same time.

Also on that gravestone is commemorated their son Noah who was KIA in 1917 at Flanders.

A further relative Sht Herbert Edmund Kinsey was also killed at Flanders in 1918, He was the son of Martin Kinsey.

If anyone is able to give me any further information on them or any other members of the family I would be grateful.

I am Louis Kinsey born 1938 son of Louis Kinsey, born 1908.
