We see some progress being made – after several years of neglect – on Kirkgate Railway Station, and the possibility of it being staffed.
As this station is very handy for most of the new tourist attractions shouldn’t this renovation work have been complete before these new venues were opened?
Now, we are reading of the government plans to streamline and cut costs on our railway systems, and hopefully bring down the price of fares.
One suggestion is to trim down the number of station platform staff.
Will this affect Kirkgate, which has apparently been without staff for some considerable time?
Is it that we in the North are too slow to catch a cold and don’t appear to see any further than our nose ends?
