A brother has paid his own tribute to a decorated war veteran and long serving Royal British Legion member.

Former Warrant Officer Albert Petyt died at Pinderfields Hospital, at the age of 79, on August 8.

Mr Petyt, of Thornhill Close, Walton, served in the RAF for 31 years. He rose through the ranks from an engine mechanic in 1952 to warrant officer, training flight engineers, before retiring in 1989.
