Local designers will turn heads at the Ridings Shopping Centre’s style fair this weekend.
A craft market and style fair will take place on Sunday from 10.30am and 4.30pm.
Taking centre stage at the event will be two local designers who will be showcasing their latest creations in catwalk shows at 11.30am and 1.30pm.
Julie Gromett from the BBC 2’s Great British Sewing Bee and founder of Tweedy Gromett, will feature a range of designs and Lindsey Rayner, a designer from Created in Yorkshire and owner of Loula’s Boutique, will feature her new collection.
Specialist fashion and style stalls will also join the centre’s regular craft traders, giving shoppers the chance to buy vintage handbags, hand crafted jewellery and accessories.
Victoria Clapham, The Ridings’ marketing manager, said: “It’s a real privilege to welcome our two very talented local designers to our style fair. Summer is the perfect time to spruce up your wardrobe and update your look. The style stalls and regular craft traders will be offering a wide range of items that will leave you looking and feeling great for the season.”
