A six-mile sponsored walk is taking place on Saturday to help adult survivors of abuse.

Beyond Existing, a charity set up by Jacki Pritchard to help adults who are or have been abused, is organising the fundraising event at Pugneys Country Park from noon.

Ms Pritchard, 59, said: “I wanted to do something to support adults who had been or are being abused.”

The charity runs support groups in the area to give service-users a safe place to express themselves.

Former service user Samantha Keeton, 29, who now volunteers for the charity said: “The charity treated me with acceptance when I was at my lowest. It was amazing to feel that I wasn’t alone.”
