Plans showing the redevelopment of the Kirkgate area of the city centre will go on show later this month.
And Wakefield Council is asking for people to have their say.
Coun Denise Jeffery, cabinet member for regeneration and economic growth, said: “Redevelopment of the Kirkgate area of Wakefield is needed to revitalise the general area, improve transport links and encourage further investment. I hope people will take this opportunity to visit the exhibition and have their say in these important regeneration plans.”
Groundwork Wakefield will also be present at the exhibition to provide an update on the redevelopment and restoration of Kirkgate Station and the West Yorkshire Archives will display details of the new regional archives building, which is to be located in the Kirkgate area.
The plans will be on show at 102/104 Kirkgate, on the corner of George Street, opposite the Harewood Arms.
They will be on show from 10am until 4pm on Friday, January 31, and Saturday, February 1.
The exhibition will also be on display in Wakefield One from Monday, February 3, to Friday, February 14.
