Red Shed ready to commemorate 1984-85 miners’ strike

A commemoration event to remember the 1984–5 miners’ strike will be held at Wakefield Labour Club.

The event at the Vicarage Street club, also known as the Red Shed, will be held on Saturday, March 1 – 30 years to the day since the start of the year-long dispute.

There will be guest speakers, sketches from the Red Shed players, food and live music at the commemoration, which will run from 1pm-4pm.
