Temporary lights will be in place on Durkar Lane, in Crigglestone, at the junction with St James Way, until Christmas Eve.

Temporary lights will be in place on High Street, in Crigglestone, from numbers 1 to 153, from Monday, January 6 until Saturday, January 18.

Temporary lights will be in place on High Street, in Crofton, from the Slipper pub to Slack Lane, from Monday, January 6, for about 12 weeks.

Temporary lights will be in place on Potovens Lane, at the pedestrian crossing near the junction with Ledger Lane, on Monday and Christmas Eve.

Hill Top Road, in Newmillerdam, will be closed from number 49 to the junction with Lodge Lane on Tuesday, January 7, from 8am until 8pm. Traffic will be diverted along the A61 Barnsley Road, Chevet Lane and Lodge Lane.

Lee Street, in the city centre, will be closed until Christmas Eve.

Traffic is being diverted along King Street, Silver Street, Marygate and Wood Street.

Sugar Lane, Agbrigg Road, Oxford Street, Regent Street, Maybush Road and St Catherine Street will be closed on Sunday, January 5, from 3pm until 4.30pm, so that a peace march can take place.

Thompsons Yard, in the city centre, will be closed from the junction with Westgate to Pioneer House, on Sunday, January 12, from 8am until 5pm.

Balne Lane, in Wakefield, will be closed at the railway bridge on Sunday, January 12 from 9am until 5pm.
