Road works on Denby Dale Road, Wakefield are causing long tailbacks.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Bradford Road in Carrgate from Friday, May 2 to Friday, May 9 while surface dressing preparation works take place.

Durkar Lane in Crigglestone remains closed while water sewers for a new housing estate are installed. Delays are expected until August 31.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Barnsley Road in Newmillerdam on Friday, May 9 while works to the carriageway are carried out.

Manor Road in Ossett will be closed for around another week while a new sewer is laid.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Dale Street in Ossett until Tuesday, May 20 while gas mains are replaced.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Ouchthorpe Lane in Wakefield until Tuesday, May 6 while emergency works carried out following a gas leak.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Lumley Hill in Castleford until Monday, May 5 while works to the railway bridge are carried out.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Verner Street in Featherstone until Friday, May 16 while a new water main is installed.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Pontefract Road in Featherstone from Tuesday, May 6 until Tuesday, May 13 while gas mains are replaced.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Ackworth Road in Pontefract from Monday, May 5 until Friday, May 9, while new electric and gas mains are installed for a new housing development.
