Emley Moor TV mast lit up the skies to celebrate the Tour de France’s visit to Yorkshire last weekend.

On both Friday and Saturday night the 274-metre tall mast was bathed in different colours and circled by spotlights as the landmark, which can be seen from miles away, illuminated the skies.

The spectacular light show marked the end of the 100-day Yorkshire Festival - which celebrated the world’s biggest sporting event’s visit to Yorkshire.

Fiona Ledger Sykes said on Facebook: “I tweeted the mast and it turned blue. It was fantastic. Well done to the Kirklees events team.”
