TRAVELLERS have been moved on from the camp they set up in Sandal.
They arrived at Castle Grove Park, on Manygates Lane, on Sunday and were moved on by police and council officers on Monday night.
Bob Taylor, Wakefield Council’s service manager for enforcement, said: “The travellers arrived at the site on Sunday. We immediately began working with the police to remove them as quickly as possible and they left on Monday evening.”
