Members of Wakefield CC, Ossett and District CC, Normanton CC and Pontefract CC all have pictures in the week-long show, which runs until 4pm tomorrow (Saturday).

I had the privilege of a guided tour from Wakefield CC spokesman Malcolm Dobson who provided an expert commentary on the pictures that made it through a tough judging process to make the grade.
What shone through was the sheer quality of work. Many of the photographers involved simply do it as a hobby. They pool their talents during weekly club events and outings to produce some stunning work.
The other thing that caught my eye was the interesting mix of styles. There were landscapes, seascapes, people, nudes, wildlife and action images.

Over the coming weeks we hope to feature some of the show’s award winners.
