Wakefield Town Hall is closed for 14 months from today while essential maintenance work is carried out to replace the building’s heating system.
Annual civic events, meetings and conferences have been relocated to nearby County Hall on Bond Street and other council venues.

Residents will still be able to contact the council in person by visiting the nearby Customer Access Point at Wakefield One on Burton Street and County Hall on Bond Street, Wakefield, or by calling 0845 8 506 506.
A full condition survey identified that the Town Hall heating system was in urgent need of replacement and was resulting in high running costs.
