Arsonists target sports club in Crigglestone

Arsonists destroyed a sports club’s changing rooms last night (Tuesday).
They set fire to the portable building at Crigglestone Sports and Social Club.
Firefighters from Wakefield Station were called to the club, on Painthorpe Lane, at 11.20pm.
Watch Commander Ian Stead said: “At this stage we believe the fire was deliberately started.
“It caused extensive damage to the building.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
