Boost for children

An Ossett pharmacy team raised more than £800 last week for a charity supporting children with brain tumours.

Staff at the recently-opened MedicX branch, at Ossett Health Village on Kingsway, held fundraising events, including a book sale, tombola, coffee morning and a cake and biscuit sale.

They raised 411 from visitors which was matched by the firm to make a total of 822, which will go towards Levi's Star charity.
