Bus window smashed

A BUS window was smashed after a stone was thrown as it travelled through Outwood.

CCTV footage from the Arriva 110 bus is being examined by police who are determined to track down the culprits.

No passengers were injured in the incident, which happened at midday on Monday, but they had to moved on to another bus to continue their journey.

A spokesperson for Arriva Yorkshire said: "These acts of vandalism are very rare, however we take them extremely seriously. Safety is paramount to everything we do here at Arriva Yorkshire and we will be working very closely with the police who will be reviewing the CCTV from the vehicle."

The suspects were described as being a group of young people aged between eight and 12.
