Cathedral Academy Performing Arts college bring smash hit musical Rent to life
A VIBRANT tale of illness, poverty and the struggle to survive will be brought to life by talented students.
Cathedral Academy Performing Arts college will be taking to the stage to perform their version of the smash-hit Broadway musical, Rent.
Written by Jonathan Larson, it explores the issues of HIV and Aids.
Sarah Fitzpatrick, drama teacher and director, said: “Rent tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians and their struggle to survive in New York.
“The cast are very talented, we have some fantastic actors, singers, set designers and costume designers.”
Performances will take place on Friday, February 8, and Saturday, February 9, at 7.30pm at Cathedral Academy, on Thornes Road.
Tickets cost £8 for adults and £5 for concessions.
