CCTV footage released in hunt for sex attacker

DETECTIVES investigating a “brutal” sex attack in Eastmoor have released CCTV footage of three men they want to speak to.

It was taken on Barden Road near to where a 23-year-old woman was seriously sexually assaulted.

She was walking along a ginnel between Barden Road and Malham Road at 11.30pm on December 19 when it happened.

Det Supt Mark Ridley, of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: “We believe these men may have witnessed the incident or have information which could assist us and I would ask them, or anyone who may have witnessed what took place, to come forwards.

“Specially trained officers are continuing to support the 23-year-old victim and we continue to appeal for assistance to catch the man responsible or what has been an extremely serious and brutal offence.”

The suspect has been described as white, with dark, spiky hair, and of slim build.

He was wearing a hooded jumper with a silver coloured strip on the hood.
