Champion jockey AP McCoy is the real deal for Wakefield Hospice sporting dinner
NMAC10-0883- Chad Family Fun day at Southwell Racecourse Grand National winning jockey, Tony McCoy turns up for a race.
ONE of the world’s greatest ever jockeys will be revealing his secrets to success during a special charity night.
AP McCoy is the greatest jump jockey of all time, having won both the prestigious Cheltenham Gold Cup and Grand National.
The 17-times champion jockey will be hosting a sporting dinner to raise money for Wakefield Hospice.
And tickets are now on sale for the event, which will take place at the Cedar Court Hotel on Monday, November 12.
Hospice director of fundraising Helen Knowles said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have a sportsman of such a high calibre.

“We have only ever had one other jockey in our 20 year history and that was Willie Carson many years ago.
“It is brilliant to get someone who is at the top of their sport and we have already had tables reserved.”
The former BBC Sports Personality of the Year winner has ridden more than 13,000 races and has recorded more than 3,600 winners so far.
He owns all the jump jockeys’ records for reaching career milestones in the fastest time.
Mr McCoy will be joined on the night by comedy writer Greg Cook and broadcaster Garry Richardson.
Mr Cook has been described as the “Les Dawson for the 21st century” and is a regular after-dinner speaker and appeared at The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, The Glee, The Stand, Rawhide and The Roundhouse.
Mr Richardson has been with the BBC for more than 35 years and is best known as the sports presenter on Radio Four’s Today programme.
The dinner will take place at 7.30pm on Monday, November 12, at the Cedar Court Hotel on Denby Dale Road.
