A TEAM from powered access equipment firm Horizon Platforms will talk 25 miles this weekend in aid of Wakefield Hospice.
The 20-strong team will walk the Three Peaks, a gruelling mountain trek in the Yorkshire Dales.
They have so far raised around £3,000 in sponsorship for the hospice.
Dave Williams, marketing manager at the firm, based at Roundwood Industrial Estate, Ossett, said: “The hospice is a local charity which relies heavily on donations. We thought it would be the best charity to support.”
The walk, which will set off from Horton-in-Ribblesdale tomorrow, was planned for July but cancelled after a severe weather warning.
Mr Williams added: “We were advised not to go ahead with it but things are looking fine for this weekend. People are excited about it and looking forward to the walk.”
To sponsor the team, log on to www.justgiving.com and search for Horizon Platforms.
