Couple get engaged at mining museum

Love might be in the air with Valentine’s Day looming, but it was 400ft underground at the weekend when 44-year-old Andrew Jolly proposed to partner Melanie Dale, 41, at the National Coal Mining Museum, in Overton.

The couple from County Durham, have been together 11 years and have yet to set a date.
