Driver taken to hospital after Westgate crash

A DRIVER was taken to hospital after a car crash in the city centre this morning (Friday).
A car and a lorry were involved in the collision at Westgate End at around 7.30am.
Firefighters from Wakefield Fire Station attended and one driver had to be cut from the wreckage and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Crews then made the scene safe to avoid traffic disruption.
